Beatriz Amendola, M.D., Fellow of the American Society of Radiation Oncology ASTRO (FASTRO) and of the American College of Radiology (FACR)

Dr. Amendola is a highly respected radiation oncologist and an honored member of the leading medical societies of the specialty in the United States, Latin America and Europe. She has been a highly successful practicing physician of radiation oncology in the U.S. for the last 30 years, and holds physician’s privileges at several hospitals in South Florida.

She has been awarded Fellowship from the American Society of Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and from The American College of Radiology (ACR). Her main areas of interest include breast, lung, head/neck and prostate cancer as well as brain tumors. Dr Beatriz Amendola has extensive knowledge in the field of radiation therapy, with expertise in radiosurgery using Gamma Knife? and CyberKnife? technologies.

Dr. Amendola completed her residency in radiation oncology at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Va., with Board Certification in Therapeutic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology in 1980. She has held several academic positions, including Acting Chairman of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Michigan and Associate Professor and Director of Residency Training at the University of Miami, Department of Radiation Oncology. She has published more than 40 articles in peer-reviewed medical journals.

Marco Amendola, M.D., Fellow of the American College of Radiology (FACR), and also Fellow of the Society of Uroradiology

Dr. Marco Amendola is Director of Medical Imaging of the Innovative Cancer Institute, offering more than 30 years of experience in Oncologic Imaging. After residency and fellowship training in Diagnostic Radiology and Radiation Oncology at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Dr. Marco Amendola obtained his certification from the American Board of Radiology. He has been very active in academic medicine, having worked as Professor of Radiology at the University of Michigan, the University of Pennsylvania and more recently at the Medical College of Virginia and the University of Miami. Dr. Marco Amendola has published more than 100 scientific papers and has edited two textbooks in the field of radiology and radiation therapy. He has received numerous awards and is currently Fellow of the American College of Radiology and Fellow of The Society of Uroradiology.
